Adrian Puts His Trucker Hat On

Yes. I know. The Vikings lost today. Tripping on Dugan? Give me a break. Watching the Vikings lose a game that they should have won was not enjoyable. However, watching Adrian Peterson absolutely destroy William Gay was enjoyable.

Bring Moss Back!
Football season is right around the corner and I can't wait. The Minnesota Vikings will soon have Brett Favre as their starting quarterback and their team will be in place. But they're missing one thing. Randy Moss. Please Minnesota, bring Moss back.

The Vikings Are Still Trying To Get Into Brett's Wranglers

Brett Favre is still on the radar of the Minnesota Vikings. Vikings president Mark Wilf said that they are still considering Brett Favre. Most people are getting sick and tired of hearing about Favre coming out of retirement again, but I'm kind of excited about the possibility of Brett wearing purple.
Why would I want Brett Favre playing for my Vikings? The first answer is the most obvious. Just think of how much fuel that puts on the fire of the Vikings and Packers rivalry. The Green Bay legend would be playing for their rival. I would shove that in the faces of every stupid Aaron Rodgers loving Packers fan I know.
The second answer would be that the Vikings could have success with a veteran quarterback. Back in the days of Randy Moss, the Vikings had a couple of older quarterbacks come in and have great seasons. Randall Cunningham had a ridiculous season in 1998. Jeff George followed it up with some good numbers the next year. I would feel much better with an aging Brett Favre behind center than the Rosencopter or T-Jack.
As much as I would like to see Favre in Minnesota, it's probably not going to happen. By now he probably wants to fade out of the spotlight for a while. I don't really blame him. I would get tired of Rachel Nichols digging through my garbage, too.
I do know somebody who would like to take that quarterback job, though....

Order Your Rosenfels Jersey Now

Congratulations to the Minnesota Vikings. Every year you give me hope and then break my heart. I remember the 98 NFC Championship. I remember missing the playoffs because of the Arizona Cardinals. I remember sending the most explosive receiver of our time to Oakland. I remember the Sex Boat Scandal. The Vikings have a history of disappointment but the team has finally started coming together over the last couple seasons. Adrian Peterson is one of the best running backs in the game right now. Jared Allen and the Williams Wall has formed one of the best run-stopping defenses in the league. Bernard Berrian has finally brought the deep ball threat back to Minnesota. Things are finally starting to look up for the Vikes.
The one thing they are lacking that could make them a Super Bowl contender is a quarterback. T-Jack has been less than phenomenal and Gus Frerotte is just too damn old. Who will the Vikings pick up? Luckily for the Vikings there are several veterans available that could push them over the edge. Kurt Warner had an MVP caliber season and took the improbable Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl this year. Will the Vikings pick him up? Nope. Jeff Garcia is a journeyman who has provided veteran leadership for all of the teams he has played for. Will the Vikings pick him up? Of course not. They need someone who can move like a helicopter. They need Sage Rosenfels. Today the Vikings traded a 4th round draft pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for Rosenfels and have given him a two-year deal worth $9 million making him the highest paid backup quarterback in the NFL.
I wouldn't be surprised if Brad Johnson is the Vikings starting quarterback by the end of the season.
